Types of final projects
- Innovation applications of music/audio/speech: You can design interesting and innovative music/audio/speech applications. The application does not need to use advanced or complicated music/audio/speech technologies, but it has to be innovative and fun. The key point is to wow the whole class when presenting your application!

- Control angry birds with voice control
- Detect the speed of a ball when you throw it
- Measure the rotation speed of an electric fan, a motorbike's engine, or anything interesting
- Measure how fast you can flip your lips
- Singing timbre classification (based on singers, styles, etc.)
- Score a finger snap
- Beautify your singing recording over a smartphone
- Design and create a high-pitch sound to break a glass
- Create various specified reverberations
- Predict if a bottle is filled by monitoring its sound at a fountain
- Use sound to show depth (kinect application)

- Research/contest oriented: You can report your own research that is related to music/audio/speech processing. You can also present a paper and demonstrate your implementation and/or animation to let the audience fully understand the related algorithms and technologies. - 2015/05/17 (Tue): Initial one-page abstract due from each team. Please submit the hardcopy during the class. The proposal should includes the following items:
- Project topic
- Team leader and teammates, with photos (Each team should have at most 3 persons.)
- Introduction to the topic for your project
