Things to do:

  1. Read the Paper Preparation first, regarding the format of your paper. You should use the Sample Paper and Templates to help you prepare your manuscript. You should also see the instructions for Abstract Preparation.

  2. Prepare a camera-ready paper, at most 4 pages long, including figures and references, and find an appropriate subcategory from the Paper Categories for your paper.

  3. Do Electronic Submission of the Paper Cover Sheet. Here you will get your paper number and a password which you need to write down.
Only if you are unable to complete the electronic submission of your paper cover sheet, you will need to prepare a floppy disk containing the cover sheet information and abstract, fill out the Paper Cover Sheet manually and skip Step 5.

  4. Do Electronic Submission of the Postscript file of your full paper. You can only do this if you successfully completed the previous step.

  5. Fill out one copy of the Copyright Form.

  6. Mail the package following the Mailing Instructions. The package has to be received by the conference office by September 14, 1998.

Things NOT to do:

  1. No papers will be accepted by FAX.

  2. No individual may appear as an author on more than three paper proposals.

  3. No individual may appear as the first or sole author on more than one paper proposal.

  4. No papers will be accepted after September 14, 1998.

  5. Paper proposals that do not include the Paper Cover Sheet will be rejected without review.

  6. Papers exceeding 4-page long will be rejected without review.

  7. Papers from authors who failed to present an accepted paper at ICASSP-97 without justification ("no shows") will be rejected without review.

In addition to accessing the Author's Kit through the web, you can also retrieve the Author's Kit in one file and print it.
